WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF MOTHERHOOD ADVICE YOU HAVE RECEIVED?
I would have to say one of the best pieces of advice I have received during parenting is to cherish every minute because it goes by fast. I find that sometimes I catch myself saying not right now mommies busy, or not I don’t have time for that. I try to avoid that as much as possible and it is such simple things like ‘mom look what I did today’ or ‘can I show you something’. I really try to say yes... no matter what because I won't always have the chance.
WHAT ARE YOUR MOST CHERISHED MOMENTS?
I cherish moments when I see that my hard work paid off. So in moments where my son just does something so sweet and so sincere and shows me that he is and will be a good human being.
WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES / REWARDS OF BEING A MOTHER TO YOUR SON?
The biggest challenge I have faced with my son is learning to let go of people not willing to be in his life. You never understand because you love this little human so much it just doesn’t make sense and it never will so you learn to let go and live and love unconditionally because it's all your baby will ever need. My biggest reward is watching my son succeed in everything he does. It can be the biggest thing right down to the smallest. His accomplishments are my biggest rewards.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR OWN MOTHER TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHILDHOOD?
I would like my mother to know that I'm very grateful for everything she did for me as a child and even now as a grown woman raising a child. I am the mom I am today because of her.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PARENTING STYLE?
I'm not sure I have a parenting style. I kind if take each day as it comes. Every day is different, something that's happening this week that's a problem won’t be a problem next week, so I just kind of face it as it comes.
